I use a lot of brushes in Photoshop since I like trying out new ones, but here’s what I use the most as of late.

I also play around with the settings a lot to change what I want.

Shape dynamics will change how much you want the tips of your strokes to taper out with the “Minimum Diameter” option. I don’t really touch the other ones….

Texture is GREAT for getting a much rougher quality to your lines and making it look more like traditional media. For rougher lines, change the mode to “subtract”. You can play around more with the “scale”, “brightness”, “contrast”, etc to make soften or harden the texture more.

Transfer will make it so that the diameter and opacity of your lines will be changed depending on how much pressure you put on your tablet (of course you need to set it so it’s on “pen pressure” for it to work!). The “Minimum” option will change how much pressure you need to apply for a darker line.

And yeah, that’s what I usually go through whenever I’m drawing!

I really want there to be like a proper bad guy movie. Like where the bad guy wins but not like megamind where he turns all soft but one where the hero dies or something and the bad guy actually takes over the world and enslaves the human race or whatever their plan is and nothing else

At the risk of HUGE AS HELL SPOILERS:

Watchmen basically

“Ojectification and… men?”

I blogged Jimquisition’s video on objectification and women in video games recently and he has done this one as a follow-up, addressing the tired retort of ‘Men are objectified too, its equal’ that we have all heard. He does it so perfectly and intelligently I just… I LOVE THIS MAN OK, he gets it and doesn’t get wrapped up in the dick waving parties these discussions of sexism in video games usually gets reduced to.

Damn. This is pretty spot on. People need to see this, and I’m definitely going to look into more of this guy’s stuff.

A Moment’s Recognition (Inspired by the artwork above)
He knew he had been discovered when her eyes widened and her lips parted in a soft gasp; her gaze drifting past his face to focus beyond his nearer shoulder only confirmed it.  Hastily doffing his hat and murmuring an apology, he made to escape before the shock wore off and her little indrawn breath led to a scream.  He had no illusions as to what he was or how those rare few able to see his true form viewed his presence. Before he had taken more than a single step back, let alone continued to turn and flee with as much dignity as possible, her delicate hand caught him by the lapel.  Then it was his turn to look with widened eyes and a gasp of surprise, for the expression on her face was not horror, was not even fear, but wonder.  Wonder, followed by delight.Speechless, he offered not a jot of resistance when she released his lapel only long enough to draw him down to her as she stretched upward upon her toes.  Her lips were soft and warm, tasting of sweetened tea, and her fingers in his hair sent chills along his spine.  His wings fluttered, rustling quietly as they folded and unfolded with his startled uncertainty. He could not care for what might happen when her lips left his own, because that moment in time seemed too wondrous to be surpassed by anything he could imagine actually occurring; holding onto the memory with all his will, he folded it into his heart and sealed it there for safe-keeping.  Whatever came next, he would always have her joyful recognition and her lips upon his own.

AND THEY WERE PERFECT PARENTS TOO!

They were fiercely proud of their children’s accomplishments.

They played together as a family.

They went to school plays, parent/teacher interviews, and helped with school work.

They co-parented, Gomez was just as active in raising their children as Morticia was.

When their children wanted something that they disapproved of, they were disappointed but relented because it would make them happy.

Plus, all TV married couples kind of hate each other and argue 90% of the time for the sake of comedy, but these two have always seemed to be forever and always in love, which is kind of sweet.

And if that’s only possible because they’re weirdos, what does that say about us?

Is it odd I actually really like this post?

It was perfect family and I still love them <3
